Wendy Proctor began her professional performing career at 18, traveling with the show group, “Brothers and Sisters”, out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
After earning her Bachelor of Science Degree in Theatre from Northwestern University’s School of Speech she pursued a career in entertainment, performing at theme parks around the country as a singer/dancer. She later joined Sak Theatre as an actress where she criss-crossed the country performing in Renaissance Faires.
Sak brought her to Orlando to open the United Kingdom pavilion at Disney’s EPCOT Center performing with “The Renaissance Players” speaking with a high British accent. From there she joined Disney's 8-part a cappella vocal ensemble “The Voices of Liberty”, (see Liberty Voices) performing at the American Adventure and later on, “busking” on the streets of the United Kingdom pavilion as a Pearlie Queen, singing with a Cockney accent.
She also performed on Cunard's cruise ship Sagafjord, entertaining guests in production shows as well as a solo night club act.
Wendy has appeared as a featured artist at special events, banquets, church services and in Japan for a special Christmas show.
She continues to lend her soprano voice each year to the four part vocal a cappella ensemble, "The Caroling Company", performing in Victorian dress and spreading melodious cheer throughout the holiday season.
Wendy is a Distinguished Toastmaster, winning numerous awards for her speaking. She has chaired several functions for the Toastmaster District and has also volunteered with the Mennello Museum of Art and the Orlando Shakespeare Theater as their Gala Auction Chair.
